The Power of Friendship

Sometimes, I feel like we can’t rely on our friends. Or maybe some of us would say we have the wrong circle of friends.

Actually, what do we expect in a friend? Someone you can trust? Some who shares your joys and your pain? Someone who’s there for you whenever you need them. How often does this happen? Not many times, I think. If you read my blog before and run through the archives, you will realise that while I gain a lot of friends, I lose a lot that are important to me.

And no, I’m not pissed off at the moment. As a matter of fact, I’m quite pleased.

However, let’s take a look at this.

Sometimes, I feel that even though my offline friends are very much closer to me in distance, I feel they are pretty far in terms of understanding. On the other hand, I have online friends whom I’ve met through forums, blogs and IRC for example. Which one asks you whenever they notice an unhappy post of yours on the blog?

THE ONLINE ONES.

Sad isn’t it? That’s because the offline ones don’t care. They only start caring after you give them the face or when you cry infront of them. Isn’t that a little, too late? The online ones however, spends hours consoling you on MSN or even calls you on the phone and sometimes drops you a SMS just to ask how are you. They even wished they were there with you at your darkest moments.

I dunno. I feel like giving up on my offline friends. Aside from my fabulous five, I cannot think of any other people who are always there for me. I just want you all to know that I love you so much.

Now, some of the reasons that we blog is because we feel empty or feel that we needed an avenue to display our thoughts. Maybe that’s why we all started blogging in the first place. Sometimes, the best listeners in the world comes from people who never met you before cause they judge you by the way you present yourself online and not from how you look like.

Also, it’s amazing how we make all these contacts. I’m proud to tell all my other friends that my circle of friends comes from all over the world. USA, Romania, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia and many more. All made because we all share a common interest. For eg Harry Potter or blogging, we came together because we had something that we love together. Which is an amazing thing. Sometimes, I wish air tickets are so much cheaper so that I can travel anytime at my own convenience.

However, my question to you for now is, when it comes down to the line.

“Offline or Online Friends? Which one matters most to you?”

As for me, I really have no idea. Cause I’m indecisive like that. Tsk tsk.

Tiuniasing’s Ambition

Alright, these past few days, I have been introduced to a very interesting blogger. Nope, it’s not the XiaXue or Dawn Yang saga. I’m way over that one. Still pending right? When finalised already then I kaypoh a bit later.

If you are a Nuffnanger, you would probably have heard about this blogger in particular. Everywhere. People are talking about him everywhere; in the chatbox, in their blog entries and also, some of his topics are topping the Innit stats! How did this happen? Why it happen?

Read on why.

You see, Tiuniasing has a different flair about the way he expresses himself. And how is this affecting the Nuffnang community? MASSIVELY I guess.

Well, at first, I thought his nick was Tuna Sing. LOL! Then I look closely, and it’s TIUNIASING. Funny heh, how come his nick was like that. Maybe he likes Tuna and he likes singing. Hence that nick.

And well, this post is not intended to bash him or anything. Honestly, I get on fine with that dude. Yes, he goes around danging people’s post and all but I don’t think it makes him much of a bad person. It’s how he operates; so let’s just deal with it. Honestly, I used to hate him with a passion cause he has this policy that self narcissim is tantamount to committing a sin. But recently, conversing with him in the chatbox wasn’t that bad afterall.

Sure, he has a foul mouth but who doesn’t? Are you going to say that you have a foul mouth but you know how to ration it out. Sorry honey, some people don’t mince their words when they talk about you. Which is why I love XiaXue. Period.

And of course, he has a lewd attitude about life. Read his blog here and you will understand why.

I feel that maybe he lacks love. HAHAHA. And perhaps, if we just ignore him and let him do what he wants, it won’t really matter. It’s only one dang. What difference would it make? If your post is really that good, than it won’t matter if you got one dang cause you got many other nangs to compensate for it.

I’m also guilty of the fact that I wanted more nangs and some people even resorted to rigging the system by creating multiple attempts. No, that wasn’t intended for anyone but it’s sad that people are fighting over this nanging system. It’s meant to be a fun thing, not a war thing.

I was shocked when my post went top ten the other time cause I didn’t advertise it at all. I was pleasantly surprised. It currently has 29 nangs so far. Not bad eh? I’m definitely proud of myself. It has established me as a blogger who has been in this industry for quite sometime already.

So, can we get over the Tiuniasing saga? Cause if not, we are indirectly increasing his traffic. I’m sure we want more traffic for ourselves right?

Also, speaking of traffic, I think what Tiuniasing wants is to be…

NUFFNANG’s OWN TRAFFIC POLICE. HAIYA.

The one who always gives you summon and whatnot. But instead of giving you summon, he gives you DANGS!

Nuffnang forum?

Well, I have been lurking alot lately in Innit since I got my Glitterati status. Reason being is that I love reading random posts and of course, the nanging stuff. And of course, all that Tiuniasing events. Funny stuff.

Also, the chatbox is VERY happening. If you had stayed longer, you will realise that it’s filled with super hyper people.

Gossip here and there. Scandals and all the relationships. Too many to track also.

Then, I was thinking. Since we all like to get to know each other and whatnot, why not have a Nuffnang forum? I’m sure we will all benefit from it. Especially when we all come from various timeslots and etc.

It would be a great platform to know more about each other as well.

What say you, Nuffnangers?
